The Information Technology department's goal and purpose is to support our internal and external customers by providing flexible solutions that enable controlled profitable growth. Triple Crown Services Information Technology strategy is to aggressively utilize cost effective technologies that are state-of-the art to improve service to our customers and automate manual processes. Enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, software, and back-office processing are provided by Norfolk Southern.
We have the highest degree of automation and the most advanced business applications and IT infrastructure in the truck load and intermodal industry. We are also regarded by some of our fortune 100 customers as having the industry's most advanced EDI processes and capabilities.
Our EDI capability for our customers includes the following EDI transaction sets: 204, 322, 404, 417, 622, 997, 998 and CLM's. We support most of the widely used versions of the ANSI X12 standards including (4010). We utilize Kleinschmidt as our VAN (Value Added Network), our Mailbox ID is "TDIS" and our SCAC Code is "TDIS". 100% of our EDI traffic is encrypted and then sent over the Internet for distribution to customers and vendors.
Our billing processes have been automated through the use of document imaging technologies. The TCS Customer website provides our customers with real time tracking of their loads. Incorporating Car Location Messages (CLM's), our customers receive the most up to date information on the status of their loads. The website also provides after-delivery information including EDI and imaged documents. Automated, customized reports, via email or fax are also available.
